General Description
Under the supervision of the Supported Employment Coordinator, the Job consultant is responsible for assisting MH/IDD consumers in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment in the community.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:The Job Consultant will provide training and support needed to achieve independent employment and ensure that specifications for the tasks of the job are met to the satisfaction of the employer. The Job Consultant is responsible for job development ; job coaching; and accurate documentation of all services provided. The Job Consultant will assist in ensuring compliance with HCS and TxHmL Principles, ICF/MR regulations and GR Data Verification Criteria. HFC incorporates principles of trauma-informed care, which includes cultural sensitivity, in all areas of service delivery. All job descriptions include the responsibility to learn about and implement trauma-informed practices within the scope of work for the position. Possibly subject to federal vaccination mandate, including provisions for claiming exemptions.

Qualifications
Education, Training, and ExperienceHigh School Graduate/GED, plus six months experience in positions related to the duties of the position. Must have current drivers license and be insurable under Center insurance. Position may require use of personal vehicle in performance of job-related duties and proof of PIP insurance. Must pass all Center mandated trainings to include van driving classes.
