NES Fircroft is helping a company in the green hydrogen sector recruit a Contracts and Procurement Specialist, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. As a flexible Contracts and Procurement Specialist, you will support the company's contracts function, assisting the Projects team in the development and delivery of major renewables projects within Europe. In your first few weeks in this Contracts Specialist role, you can expect to: Develop, coordinate, and evaluate tender packages for pre-feasibility, feasibility and execution phases of Projects including studies for engineering, environmental, social, site investigations, construction and procurement contracts Support the Senior Contracts and Procurement representative in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions, to support project schedule and budget Identify and evaluate key risks at a contract formation and seek input from other functions as appropriate (e.g., technical, legal) Assist in the development of Contracts and Procurement policies and procedures, developing well-written, well-structured procurement documentation that supports the project requirements Identify and maximise cost-saving opportunities Maintain and update procurement records and generate reports on procurement and contract activity to meet organisational compliance requirements and provide access to procurement information. To apply for this role, you will need 5 years of experience in Contracts within major projects or energy industries (renewable energy experience is desirable). You will also require the following: A degree in commerce, business, law, or construction economics Ability to engage effectively with engineers, legal, quality management, finance, tax, insurance, project controls and logistics to co-ordinate and ensure contractual delivery parameters are met Good attention to detail Chartership by a recognised body (e.g., RICS, CIPS or Legal) is desirable but not essential.
