JOB SUMMARY

Individuals in this role apply advanced GIS concepts towards exceptional client CRE outcomes while acting as the Location Intelligence production consultant for a line of business and/or highly specialized GIS discipline.

Displays GIS mastery using ArcGIS platform and is proficient with other aspects of Location Intelligence. Leverages general and specialized expertise to produce highly custom deliverables. Supports larger and more complex clients. Also partners with specialized departments (e.g. valuations or labor analytics) that leverage GIS data and systems differently.

May also specialize in Spatial Data with responsibility for maintenance and coordination of geospatial data and implementing best practices for spatial data management. This includes metadata standards, data storage and management, data update strategies and QA/QC policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Consults on the creation of advanced, highly specialized, web-based, location intelligence deliverables, using a combination of analytic, programming, data management, and graphic design skills.

Serves as project manager for region level client pitches. This includes collaborating with internal Sales Management, Marketing, Research and Client Services teams to define project scope, create and manage timelines and expectations, delegating tasks, and assembly/delivery of final deliverables.

Works with other enterprise-level teams to offer highly customized business development solutions to drive high value brokerage wins at scale. May partner closely with a GIS Solutions Manager to ensure the wants and expectations of their brokers and clients are met.

Leads in the design and implementation of tools, templates, workflows, and deliverables focused on their respective focus of work or line of business, for use in GIS production.

May serve as a formal mentor for a team of GIS Professionals. Resident subject matter experience and ability to make quick and informed decisions on project deliverables. May delegate work to the appropriate GIS staff while keeping purview over them.

Investigates and evaluates data for strategic utilization. Works with Data Management team to determines data quality standards and defines scope for data usage as it pertains to their area of focus. May investigate new data, establish, and improve workflows, creates templates, and builds deliverables.

Acts as the lead in providing education, training, and assistance to other GIS professionals in their respective area of expertise.

Provides guidance to junior members on the team to ensure quality assurance for projects with advanced levels of difficulty across the entire enterprise.

May focus on identifying new sources of geospatial data, both local and national. Creates best-in-class workflows on usage of these datasets, and responsible for testing and evaluating the new data sources. Serves as a resource to others in explaining approaches to data management and extraction.

May leverage APIs and data feeds to create processes and standards for updating location data. Publishes data via ArcGIS Server, connects to enterprise databases, connects to various APIs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan and supervise assignments of lower-level employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree and a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination ofeducationandexperience(equivalentworkexperience=1yearofexperienceforevery2years of higher-level education).Bachelors degree in Geography or a related degree is preferred.

Atleast6+yearsofexperienceworkingwithGISTechnologyisrequired.

RelevantexperienceintegratingenterprisedatabaseswithGIStechnologymayalsobepreferred. Forthosespecializingin SpatialData, database design andmanagementwith SQLprogramming skills are preferred.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

GeographicInformationSystemsProfessional(GISP)orrelatedcertificationspreferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents.Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articlesusingdistinctivestyle.Abilitytomakeeffectiveandpersuasivepresentationsoncomplex topics to internal and external audiences.

KnowledgeofGIStermsanddefinitionsrequired.

Knowledge of CRE preferred and the ability to work with complex mathematical concepts and applyoperationssuchaslinearandregressionformulaandotherstandardizedindustrymodeling concepts is preferred.

ComfortworkingwithPythonandfront-enddevelopmentenvironmentsusingCSSandJavaScript libraries also preferred.
