My client is a South London Multi Academy Trust, who have recently gone through a period of growth with the addition of another local school to their ranks. The CEO and SLT wish to appoint a brand new role to the Trust; a strategic Head of HR. Traditionally the demands on the HR team have been more operational and transaction lead, but given the increasing size and scope of the Trust, the need is growing for an experienced HR professional to begin to position HR as a more strategic partner to the Trust. Tasked initially with an audit of policies and processes, the hope is that over time and by fully utilising the new HR software, more efficient working practices can be rolled out. Working with the SLT and aligning the strategic aims of the Trust to establish a long term people plan, you ll ensure that correct interventions help shape the future, with work force planning, learning and development initiatives as well employee wellbeing high o the agenda. Coaching and empowering senior leaders across the Trust, giving them more confidence in day to day HR matters is key. With proven expertise, ultimately you will ensure that the HR function is effectively delivered across the Trust, championing enhanced reporting and data use to help aid broader decisions. Whilst some educational experience may be useful, applications are encouraged from other sectors, with CIPD chartered members (level 7 qualified) an essential requirement. You ll enjoy the challenges of driving through changes across the organisation and the opportunity to shape and develop the department, ably supported by a small team.
