A top 30 main contractor in Ireland is actively seeking a Dublin based experience HSE Manager, to lead the Health & Safety Department. Over recent years the H&S Department has grown, and they are currently looking to bring in a 4+ year experienced HSE Manager, with experience within Construction. You will be required to use their own initiative and put their own "stamp" onto the team. The ideal candidate will need to be able promote and implement confidently a positive HSE culture to the highest quality. The candidate must have the temperament to work under pressure and keep up to date with the latest EHS regulations and policies. The Health & Safety Manager role: Monitor and enforce the implementation of Our Health & Safety Management System. Identify site specific hazards and ensure they are addressed in the site documentation and in a practical manner on the site. Assist Site Management to ensure Contractor Compliance on site. Working in tandem with all departments across the company, in particular the site management team Attend meetings and site audits Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and activities taking place. Ensure that daily/weekly safety inspections are carried out. Conduct risk assessments, review and update existing risk assessments. Deliver inductions and other trainings if required. Liaise with the company safety team to continuously improve the company safety system. Support any investigations into near misses, accidents, identify root causes and implement changes to prevent reoccurrences. Staff supervision. Experience and Qualifications: NEBOSH Construction Diploma or equivalent. NVQ Level 4 / EFQ L5 on Occupational Health and Safety or Equivalent. Able to manage Health and Safety on-site using their own initiative within the scope of the management system Ability to manage risk and implement control measures Be personable with all staff involved, but able to take command when necessary. An effective and motivated professional with a desire to progress within the business. Good administrative, report writing and I.T. skills, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
