Role: Maintenance Technician Location: Crawley - RH10 1HW Working Hours: 40 hour week, Working on Shifts - Thursday - Sunday, 1 week of days / 1 week of nights . 12 hour days/11 hour nights 7am -7pm day shift 7pm - 6am night shift Initial Training - Monday - Thursday through the week. 07:00 - 17:00 Pay Rate: Up to £26ph Temp to perm opportunities. We're currently recruiting for Maintenance Technicians to be based at our Clients Train Care Depot in Crawley. The role of the Technician is to undertake train maintenance and repair of the allocated depot rolling stock and carry out associated activities that support the operation of the fleet and depot in a safe way adhering to health and safety requirements, defined processes and regulations As a Maintenance Technician, you will have an electrical and/or mechanical background and experience of maintenance. You don't have to have background in the rail industry as we will provide you with full training. Be part of an award-winning company. What are my Responsibilities? With minimal supervision undertake maintenance of the allocated rolling stock to meet the requirements of the production plan. Assist other team members with the rolling stock maintenance in order to develop technical skills. Identify, order and collect spares and materials from stores. Apply train protection within the depot site. Carry out train overhaul activities (site specific). Carry out train preparation. The Candidate Someone with/who: Relevant engineering qualification or experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering environment. Preference of mechanical background. Will consider from outside of Rolling stock if transferable - Armed forces, Aerospace, Motor Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures Knowledge of Health & Safety including bio-hazards, manual handling and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publications Good communication skills In depth knowledge of rolling stock systems / procedures including schematics Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
