As a member of the Electrify Fleet Project Team, you will be working in a collaborative, dynamic, and creative environment that fosters innovation, collaboration and development of comprehensive electric vehicle charging infrastructure solutions for our clients.  

As the Manager of Charging Infrastructure, you will be responsible for developing solutions for our clients who are adopting electric vehicles in their fleets. In this capacity you will work closely with clients to understand their operational requirements and match those requirements to Merchants electrification resources ecosystem. You will actively participate in evaluation of new charging partners and emerging technologies and be responsible for continuous improvement of our ecosystem partners by constant vetting, addition and subtraction of partners based on performance criteria. You will also build and maintain costing models related to deployment of charging equipment - at residential, small depot and enterprise scale application. You will be instrumental in furthering innovation in Merchants product offerings driving best in class client capabilities focused on revenue generation, retention, top & bottom-line growth, and customer satisfaction.

What your day will look like immersed in our Innovative, GROWING culture: 

  • Develop, mature, and sustain an ecosystem of charging infrastructure partners - with key focus on core abilities to match to a given client project 
  • Define requirements and top-level specification for power/energy and equipment required to meet client's operational requirements  
  • Develop proposals, RFIs and RFPs working under the leadership of Dir. of Electric Vehicles - conduct internal cross functional reviews; submit and follow through with clients and charging ecosystem partners 
  • Stay in close connection with emerging technologies around high-speed, high-power charging. Be able to communicate technology cross functionally 
  • Be a partner for Innovation, Marketing, Sales & Mobility teams - provide routine updates to help address client facing business requirements. 
  • Support Director of Electric Vehicles & Sustainability in building out go-to-market strategies for deploying large scale charging infrastructure solutions 
  • Engage vendors either technically or commercially as part of a thorough vetting process - develop and sustain toolkits & workflows to support 
  • Comply with all internal policies and protocols, while balancing timely execution of tasks 

The Skillset We Are Seeking: 

  • Strong preference - Prior history of having successfully completed deployments of charging stations for commercial applications 
  • Automotive charging experience - L1, L2, L3. Knowledge/familiarity with standards, industry trends and technology roadmaps 
  • Understanding of cloud data interconnected systems, data flows & communication networks required to interconnect multiple EVSEs 
  • Understanding of energy & energy management as related to charging station operation 
  • Ability to develop relationships with vendors & clients - prioritizing technical capabilities over personal connections. 
  • Ability to develop effective relationships across the business, practitioner of a one team philosophy 
  • Ability to engage customers and all levels of the organization 
  • Detail oriented  
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Visio, and overall MS Office Suite 

Experience: 3-5-year experience developing charging systems for vehicles or deploying systems for end use 

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
