Position: Quality Assurance SupervisorLocation: Marshalltown, IADept: QualityReports to: Divisional Quality ManagerJob Purpose: The purpose of this position is to work with production, reman and MOD group, to monitor and maintain all aspects of the quality assurance program.Key Job Elements:Manage the QMS system to obtain and maintain AAR M-1003 Quality certificationIdentify, create and maintain QMS documents (e.g., work instructions, APQP documents)Manage to ensure quality procedures, work instructions, inspection instructions, etcare understood and followed by all employeesManage the calibration program for Inspection, Testing and Welding equipmentWork with design teams to implement corrective actions and improve processes and overall product design for maintainability and serviceabilityCoordinate with the supplier team to manage quality and responsibility for vendor issuesWork with program teams to complete product/program launches on timeMaintain production/project issues logs and drive to resolutionLead meetings internally, with suppliers and customers at all levels of the organizationsLead efforts to reduce in shop defects and locomotive infancy (Qualifications, Experience, Education:Some college or certified training programBachelors degree preferred in engineering or related field5+ years experience leading a Quality Management System (QMS)Ability to multi-task and problem solve Ability to read and understand blueprintsAuditing experience to a QMSExperience with manufacturing and production processes and principlesExcellent communication skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsStatistical analysis and quality assurance skills
