We're looking for a Tech Lead to work on DWP's Benefits Payment Systems, using the best tech and tooling to deliver sustainably build, modernise and maintain new and legacy systems with our expert in house teams. You will have leading role in our Technology Services Group. In Tech Services we support a suite of applications across a massive, complex estate hosted across both public cloud (AWS) and on premise hosting. You and your team will have close links into site reliability engineering, architecture, middleware, application development, testing and application support. And lots more. Your experience as a Tech Lead means you're ready to provide technical input which shape specific decisions as well at the wider DWP strategy for Digital and beyond. You'll give expert advice and direction using technical experience in areas such as software development, site reliability engineering, DevOps, solution architecture and cloud/on premise hosting experience. You'll develop technical product roadmaps and coordinating technical teams to create and maintain products and services that millions of people use every day. You will lead on governance and assurance submissions for things like technical designs, as well as engaging and influencing key stakeholders to make sure we get the best outcomes, approvals and decisions. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the criteria below: Track record of influencing strategic roadmaps. Expert knowledge in the latest public cloud technologies, software engineering techniques, and DevOps processes and tools. A range of technical disciplines and technologies (including infrastructure/desktop) in a large scale organisation, clearly demonstrating Technical Depth and understanding of complex infrastructure, software and hardware components and solutions. Experience of leading governance and assurance submissions on technical designs, and engaging with key stakeholders to secure input and support for subsequent approvals. Details. Wages. Perks.
