Job Description

My name is Shelden and I specialize in placing professionals in the Telecommunication and Networking Industries. I'm currently partnered with a company that is actively looking for a Division Manager to join their team of industry professionals!

Job Summary:

The Division Manager is responsible for supervision of assigned Project Managers and operational staff within assigned division. Their duties include supervising personnel, planning the division's budget, providing advice and conflict resolution management to staff, and maintaining the division's standard and quality of work.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop other Project Managers within the company on best practices to drive profitability with each project within the division.
  • Review results monthly with the President.
  • Management of daily office operations for assigned division.
  • Assist President with creation and implementation of organizational goals, policies, and process enhancements to guide and direct the company.
  • Expand scope of business with current customer base to drive revenue.
  • Develop relationships with new customers to increase revenue and generate a larger customer base for the organization.
  • Maintain safety and quality of the highest level within the division.
  • Project and communicate staffing requirements to the human resources department.
  • Responsible for the oversight and estimating, planning, implementing, and execution of various projects.
  • Ensure all projects of assigned division stay within budget and timeline, meeting challenging deadlines and unexpected scope changes.
  • Act as a liaison between field personnel, sub-contractors, management, and administration.
  • Maintain and manage sub-contractor relationships. Assure that work is performed in accordance with project requirements.
  • Create proforma budget and complete budget analysis monthly for assigned division
  • Produce budget for the division and communicate this to President for inclusion of overall budget
Required Knowledge & Education / Competencies:
  • Degree in construction or business management is strongly preferred
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and all other associated computer skills is a must
  • Applicable experience in estimating, material procurement and logistics, project execution and close outs
  • Obtain a current, valid driver license
