WHAT: Trainee Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with behaviour problems and learning difficulties across multiple Key Stage groups (age 4-16) WHERE: Specialist Provision School in Mid Cornwall WHEN: ASAP! September 2022 The demand for school staff is at an all-time high which is why our partner school has asked us to find them trainee teaching assistants who may not have worked in a school before but possess all the characteristics to be successful. That coupled with constant investment and training is what our Schools are looking for! The Role: Based Specialist School in Mid Cornwall Full time Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3pm (Term time only) Immediate Start! Support children with learning difficulties, emotional difficulties, academics and well-being Training provided - safeguarding level 2, team teach, autism awareness Pay £10.20 to £20 per hour We have seen previous success in the program particularly from candidates with backgrounds in sports, youth work, care, nursing, coaching, drama and personal experience with children. Your personality and attitude is a key factor when choosing the successful trainee teaching assistant. No specific experience within the education sector is required for this role but vitally important is the ability to provide continuity and constant support for pupils. The job of a teaching assistant is a vital role in education it bridges the gap between teacher and student to digest information, motivate and encourage to fulfil their potential. This teaching assistant role consists of working 1:1 and in small groups with children with either challenging behaviour or special educational needs. You will build a rapport with the child in order to gain their attention and help them focus on the work, aiding their learning. The types of special needs you will be supporting are autism, ADHD, hearing and visual impairment, social and emotional and mental health! You'll be joining a large team of teaching assistants that support school s needs.
